Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I place an order?
    You can message our Facebook page, e-mail us, or call the butcher shop and leave a message, and we will call you back as soon as we’re able.
  • Do we have a retail location?
    You are able to pick up your order at our butcher shop if you are in the area, but we don’t have regular hours that we are open there as we deliver most of our beef.
  • Do you do any other kinds of custom processing?
    We make a wide variety of beef jerky, pepperoni, patties, smokies, and fresh and smoked sausages. Contact us for specific flavors that we can do with your beef.
  • Do you butcher any other animals such as sheep, pigs, or wild game?
    No, we only butcher beef.
  • Where do you source your beef from?
    Any beef that we sell is 100% born on our ranch, raised, fed and finished by us, then cut and wrapped in our own butcher shop. We don’t buy any outside beef ever.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We currently accept cash, e-transfer, or cheque.
  • Where are we located?
    Our butcher shop is located southwest of New Dayton.
  • How do I book a beef in to be butchered and how does that work?
    You can call the butcher shop, or message us on Facebook to book a beef in to be butchered. Because we are a mobile butchering service, we will come to your farm with our butcher truck, and do the slaughter right at your place. You are responsible for disposing of the hide and internal organs, and we will cut the beef in halves and take it back to hang in our facility. Our butcher will call you and go through each cut to see how you would like it cut and wrapped. Once it is done and frozen, we will box it, and have it ready for pickup. Please note that any beef that is slaughtered by a mobile butcher in Alberta will be labeled “Uninspected Not For Sale” as per government regulations, and must be used for your own consumption.
  • I’ve called the butcher shop number, but no one answers. Why not?
    When we are cutting and wrapping beef, and our hands are full, we sometimes are not able to answer the phone. We also start cutting very early some days, and then leave to do deliveries, so there’s not always someone there. If you leave a message, we will call you back as soon as we are able.
  • Is your beef fresh or frozen, and how is it packaged?
    Our beef is cut and wrapped in butcher paper and frozen to be delivered to you.
  • How do I get my beef if I place an order?
    Once we receive your order we will get in touch about getting your beef to you. We take orders every time we go anywhere, so we will figure out a time that works best for us both to get it to you. We usually meet in a central, public location.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
